Gaza War 12 Mar

The case for wrong reporting of Gazan dead by the Hamas Health Ministry that I mentioned yesterday just got a boost. I saw a report by Professor Abraham Wyner of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches statistics there. His article was mentioned in Newsmax, com under the heading “Gaza Death Numbers are Fake”. This shows that one of the more effective Hamas propaganda ploys is false. To repeat my previous caveat, anything coming from Gaza must be treated very carefully. Hamas routinely issues false statements. Sadly, many media outlets and governments often accept these ‘official’ reports at face value. They should know better.

Hamas released the names of 7 hostages they claim were killed by Israeli air attacks. They may really be dead. But, if so, who really killed them? On the other hand, this press release may just be psychological warfare.

IDF force hit a Hamas tunnel headquarters. It was a targeted attack aimed at Hamas deputy military commander Marwan Issa. At present I haven’t got confirmation he was killed, but it does seem likely. Issa, also known as Abu Barra, was responsible for Hamas weaponry. Another senior Hamas terrorist, Ghazi Abu Tama, is mentioned as definitely killed in the same operation. IDF intelligence reports there were no hostages being held at the targeted location.
