I always wonder why the many people who are so critical of Israel and so concerned about Palestinian children never mention the simplest solution that has been available since the recent conflict started: Just release all the hostages. Holding them is a violation of international humanitarian law.
The follow on to that is to abide by other aspects of the laws governing wars; Don’t attack your neighbors.
Hamas, Iran, the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah should consider this (but they are not likely to do so) and the rest of the world ought to be reminding them that this is a simple thing that will probably put an end to the fighting.
