- After my last posting I went to have lunch and turned on my TV to SKY News. They were busy reporting on the (fake) famine in Gaza according to the UN. UN Secretary General Guterres called it a “man-made famine” and accused Israel of bring responsible. He picked the wrong actor. Such “famine” as exists is due to Hamas.
- I cannot completely blame the various heads of UN sub-groups that contribute to this false picture. They are dependent upon reports from their employees in the field. UNRWA, alone, has over 30,000 local workers in Gaza. Most of them are Gaza “refugees”. Most of them are also affiliated with Hamas, either directly or indirectly. Hamas fighters may be inept, but their propaganda apparatus is superb. They control everything being reported out of Gaza. They provide the pictures, the photographers, and even the people the media reviewers talk to (and the interpreters).
- The UN, meanwhile, has consistently blamed Israel for almost everything, while throwing in a token sentence saying hostages should all be released.
- I took about 5 minutes to garner a few recent pictures from June and July that show a different side of the “food crisis” in Gaza.
