Back to Basics
, “A warring state is not required to supply aid to enemy territory under international law. It must only permit humanitarian aid from third parties to the civilian population, provided it does not reach the enemy, is effectively monitored, and does not enhance military or economic capabilities (Article 23 of the Fourth Geneva Convention).”
Please note that this does not address the problems of Hamas hijacking aid trucks or of the manufactured photos of “starving” Palestinians. Nor does it deal with the steady flow of lies in major media that originate with Hamas “journalists” (or the faked statistics provided by the Hamas controlled Gaza Ministry of Health. It only applies to the false claims that Gazans are starving and Israel is responsible.
It is a sad situation when we cannot rely on major media outlets to tell us the truth about the items they report about.
