The truce is officially over. Hamas wants to proceed to phase 2 (Israel surrenders), Israel rejects that idea. There are a couple of proposals for continuing the truce, based on releasing more hostages (who are, just to remind you, being held captive in violation of international law). Israel is cutting off aid transfer to Gaza (but not water and electricity), Hamas, in response, has returned to their formerly successful (false) claim that Gazans are starving. The media is not pointing out that Hamas has stockpiled enough aid for 4 to 6 months’ supply for all Gazans. The media re also not mentioning that Israeli involvement with aid is ONLY to allow it transit into Gaza. Distribution, once inside, is totally handled by Hamas. In other words, If Gazans are short of food it’s due to Hamas, not Israel.
For all the hand-wringing over the plight of the “poor Palestinians”, NO ONE has yet mentioned that this entire war (and others before it) is because the Arab side (Hamas) continues to educate their imprisoned population to hate Jews (Palestinians are NOT allowed to leave Gaza without permission from Hamas, There is no other political option except Hamas, and complete control of the education of Palestinians in Gaza is in the hands of Hamas) It took a full generation to undo the Nazi education children received in Germany for only 13 years [including the war years]. How long will it take to teach Palestinians not to hate their neighbors? That’s what they have been taught for over 70 years.
