The propaganda teams (and the psychological warfare teams) are all very hard at work. The threatened attacks (mostly from Iran) have NOT taken place. The threats, however, keep coming. There are also some real moves to lend credibility to those threats. The US is sending another aircraft carrier (and a submarine), Israel has cancelled regular leave for the members of the standing army, Iran is setting up launchers for longer range missiles, and Hezbollah evacuated offices in Beirut. Each of those moves can be interpreted as another step up the escalation ladder (but not yet the jump to all-out war).
The latest threats also include maneuvers on the economic front. Turkey had halted trade with Israel. Israel, in return, is buying tomatoes from other sources. The Association of University Professors (previously an opponent of academic boycotts) has issued a new statement that appears to condone them in certain situations (does that mean Israel?) Both sides are playing with banking and credit ratings.
On the bright side, as of the time I’m writing this, there has still been no Iranian attack.
