Gaza War 24 Jul

The Houthi regime in Yemen (Iranian proxies) decided to threaten Italy now. The background is a report that Italian air to air refueling craft were part of the support for the recent Israeli attack on Hodeidah. On another level, threats against Italy aren’t very likely to be taken too seriously by anyone, but are a good way to grab some headlines. The Houthis probably need some of that after some speedboats of theirs tried to hijack a Ukrainian ship off the coast of Yemen. The Ukrainian crew broke out some small arms to defend the ship and reportedly destroyed one of the Houthi speedboats.

I mentioned the re-emergence of the fictitious Hamas claim that Palestinians in Gaza are starving. The daily caloric aid to Gaza makes them rank 30th out of 187 countries surveyed. I want to remind you that Hamas hasn’t paid a single cent to provide that aid. The Hamas terrorists have succeeded in getting others to pay for their criminal activities (and the consequences). The October 7th massacre killed (among others) about 40 Americans. Another 8 US citizens are still held captive by Hamas. This is the situation that the prospective Democratic presidential nominee, and dozens of her fellow American representatives and senators are, de facto, supporting when they boycott the speech of the Israeli Prime Minister to congress (and also fail to attend briefings from former hostages who are no longer in Hamas captivity). I am amazed that any American Jew still supports the Democratic Party. It is no longer what it was when I volunteered for JFK.
