The news this morning mentioned IDF casualties for a change. The unusual loss of 8 soldiers together even appeared ahead of the Hamas claim of over 30 “civilians” killed. This seems to reinforce Sinwar’s position that having bloody bodies is the way to get the media to report about you. However it does nothing for way the media accepts all Hamas casualty statistics without question. The IDF (and some other) reports indicate that as many as 20,000 of the Palestinian dead are/were members of the Hamas military wing.
Another mainstay of Hamas/Palestinian propaganda is that Israelis are European colonizers. The truth is that in 1949, when some 700,000 Arabs were taken into UNRWA camps as Palestinians (about 70% of them came from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt) the Arab league countries were busily confiscating the property of their Jewish citizens. Those Jews that were not killed in those same Arab states fled to Israel. More of them (about 750,000) were taken in as Jewish refugees from ARAB persecution than the number registered in UNRWA camps as Palestinians. Arab propaganda has been very successful in keeping the facts about what they did to their Jewish citizens from the public eye.
