Gaza War 5 Apr

Today Israel is being attacked verbally by both her ‘friends’ and her enemies. On the enemy side we hear threats from Iran (coupled with rumors that the Iranian missile forces have been placed on alert and some have been dispersed to launch sites). This has been matched in Israel by calling up reservists from the air defense service. Whether Iran will actually launch an attack today, the last Friday in Ramadan, or not, they will certainly do something in response to the killing of their top general in Syria. What we don’t know is what, or when.

From our ‘friends’ we are getting waves of criticism and pressure to halt the war (which gives a major victory to the Hamas terrorists) without even  mention of the hostages (which Hamas says they won’t release until after a full cease-fire, and maybe not even then).  Prime Minister Netanyahu was quick to try to placate the Americans by ordering a big increase in the amount of aid sent to Gaza. Nobody is talking about an IDF move into Rafah. Such an incursion seems to be necessary in order to eliminate Hamas capability to make a future attack on Israel.

In England the politicians are looking for a way to cloak an arms embargo against Israel by making the war a ‘crime against humanity’.  Yes. I’m referring to Israeli actions, not the Hamas massacre.  The political leaders in the west will find a way to spin the story as they see fit. They did it for Hitler in the 1930s, and many of them are doing it now for radical Islamists. Iran already controls Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq. (memories of Austria, Sudetenland,  and Poland?). What will be given up next?
