Our war isn’t the lead story everywhere any more. I hope that’s a good sign. On our side, a lot of reservists have been pulled out. Many have been returned to civilian life (at least, temporarily). Hamas leader Sinwar is still following his vision that the world will force Israel to accept a cease-fire under his conditions. In America, the future presidential election had supplanted our war as the top story. But the war goes on, even if the mainstream media don’t give it top billing.
There isn’t anything dramatic to report. No hostages have been released. No senior Hamas terrorist was killed. American diplomatic efforts aren’t achieving any breakthroughs. Hezbollah isn’t pulling back from the border. The Houthis are still threatening shipping in the Red Sea. In short, there’s been little change.
But little change doesn’t mean things are stagnant (or quiet). The IDF is still closing off more and more of the places where Sinwar can hide and/or hostages be imprisoned. From my point of view that means that Hamas is actually losing.
