Yesterday American President Joe Biden was on the campaign trail. That may be the reason he made one of the stupidest statements I’ve heard from him. Biden was supposedly cautioning Israel that world opinion could shift against Israel. In doing so he said that continuing “indiscriminate bombing” was not helping our cause. He should know better than most that the IDF, and especially the IAF, make extraordinary efforts to avoid harming non-combatants.
Biden’s comment fit in nicely with one of the recent accusations against Israel – “collective punishment”. Using that term to describe efforts to save Palestinian lives by telling them to leave areas where actual combat is taking place is a complete misreading of the actual events.
Another term that has been thrown about rather loosely is “disproportionate casualties”. Hamas rocket fire on Israeli towns continues. Just this morning there were at least 5 multi-rocket attacks. Hamas is doing everything it can to kill Israelis. The fact that Israeli defenses, like the Iron Dome interceptor, are very successful doesn’t mean that Hamas is not trying to kill civilians. Hamas is not able to protect Palestinians, and, indeed, tries to hide by using them as human shields for its forces. Why should their defensive failures mirrored against our success result in us being blamed for disproportionate casualties? Hamas would kill more Israelis if they could. But their offensive capabilities, like their defensive capabilities, are simply not up to doing so.
There was one bright spot in the international news. The Swiss Parliament voted, unanimously, to stop funding UNRWA. I have long been in favor of having UNRWA disbanded and the people it claims to help should be referred to the UN High Commissioner on Refugees. UNHCR provides the same aid, but with a provision for dealing with ALL refugees, not just Palestinians, and a mandate for resettling refugees in new homes when returning to their old ones is not a practical option. Former UNRWA camp refugees in Syria fled the Syrian civil war to Turkey. When received in UNHCR facilities they denied being Palestinians and claimed to be Syrians in order to avoid being held as a captive population for a future Palestinian state. It would be nice to see other countries follow the Swiss lead and stop funding UNRWA.

Our current president put in office deceptively has a sort of dementia which is why the democratic socialist party put him in office as to rule. Our government is so out of sync with reality you wont get a word that makes sense out of them. He is a puppet and is a dangerous puppet. Beware. If we dont get them out of office next term Im afraid for the whole world. Stay strong. Most in America are with Israel. I will be voting against our current administration. We have to pray for our world and fight harder against these foe.
