Just the other day I wrote about the objectives of going to war. Now the ‘Palestinians’ are showing their hand. The media and the UN are all going through the charade of crying “humanitarian crisis in Gaza”. But Israel was already a step ahead of them. The Israeli government ordered the border crossing to Gaza opened and sent a convoy of trucks with food, fuel and similar essentials to Gaza via that crossing. Receipt of that aid would obviously spoil the next step in the Hamas propaganda campaign so Hamas fores fired on the trucks with mortars and other weapons. The first 5 trucks went through, but all others were halted because of the Hamas fire.
Oh, yes. Don’t forget who fired the first shots (launched the first rockets) that started all this. Now their aims are going public. They want International pressure on Israel to get concessions that they are unwilling to negotiate about with Israel. There are supposed to be talks going on between the two sides about a final peace settlement. But the Palestinian side wants their state to control ALL the territory, including what is now Israel. Read their charters. Both Hamas and the PLO who control the Palestinian Authority on the West Bank still call for the destruction of Israel in their basic documents. They don’t hide it. They have been broadcasting it in Arabic for more than 50 years. They teach it to all their children. When they can’t get what they want by negotiation, they start another war in order to get the UN (or that ephemeral body ‘international opinion’) to give them what they want without having to recognize that Israel exists by right or to engage in actual negotiations.
