Once again CNN features as a major source of bias and misinformation. The media giant reported on destruction of Gazan agricultural land; basically blaming Israel. CNN could find no reason for the destruction. Hamas tunnels (and other concealed fighting structures) were never mentioned. A cursory glance at a map showing the locations from which Hamas launches rockets at Israeli towns (That, by the way, is also a war crime, but CNN doesn’t talk about violations of international law committed by Hamas) shows a lot of launches from inside or near civilian ‘protected’ installations like schools and hospitals, and others from agricultural areas.
Hamas has a clear political objective, and it isn’t getting recognition for a Palestinian state. It’s destroying Israel. Hamas is ecstatic when an American Democratic congressman says that terrorists can never be defeated. Saying that is also giving support to Biden’s decision to abandon Afghanistan to the Taliban; not one of America’s finest moments in history.
Another sterling example of CNN not conducting anything but a cursory surface investigation is the UN WFP claim that aid in southern Gaza will run out in 3 days (and people sill starve?). CNN blames Israel because Egypt halted aid supplies. Previous complaints about imminent starvation and the like have never come to fruition, Hamas, and CNN, depend upon outrageous accusations like this in order to make headlines. When the claim fizzles in 3 days it will no longer be theatrical, headline grabbing, news. The ‘starvation’ story has been used several times during the current war in Gaza. How many verified reports have you seen of Palestinians dying of malnutrition? To see a real picture of people suffering from serious lack of food you need to go to Sudan.
