My Eater Egg Fleet Book has been taking up most of my time recently. It will be officially released on November 1st. But that isn’t all I’ve been doing. I put in a lot of time on planning and preparing for a new book about my family (fathers side). I’ve had my regular chores: laundry, wash dishes, clean up yard after the dogs, etc. We even took the two dogs in for their annual vaccinations I also sent in my vote by mail.
Regarding voting, we watched the second presidential debate on TV. I felt Trump came off better this time, but wonder if it will make much difference with such a short time left. I’m registered as a voter in Rhode Island. That means whichever candidate I choose isn’t going to make much difference. RI is still a Democratic stronghold.
Returning to the book. I ordered a few special copies, mostly for members of my family. The first ones have already arrives. But my own copy is still in transit. It is a bit frustrating to hear from others that they already have it when I don’t. Maybe this will change by the end of next week.
Another bright sign is that the number of new COVID infections in Israel is now dropping. A lot of the rest of the world is still looking at rising infection rates, That includes the US, and almost all Europe (and a lot of Arab communities in Israel where large weddings have still been taking place in violation of Health Ministry warnings against large assemblies). An Israeli made vaccine goes into human trials this week. If successful, we can expect a working inoculation by next spring. That doesn’t mean we’re really returning to pre-pandemic status quo, but it does sound like a good move in the right direction.
