Grandchildren are Great

Today our younger son dropped by and brought his 4 kids. They are our youngest grandchildren. The oldest will soon be 8, The next is 6. The younger ones are officially 1 and 3. We had such a good time with them. the kids played on the same swing set we had installed for their parents. They romped with our two dogs. My wife enlisted their aid to replant some of her windowsill plants (and they got to take a couple home with them). We had lunch. It was a reminder of how fickle  a child’s appetite can be. Luckily, we had a lot of different things for them select. While I cleaned up my wife did an art project with the older two, and my son changed the diapers on the younger pair. When number three asked for his favorite blanket ( a sure sign he was ready for a nap) we packed up everything and they left for home.  We then sat down and reminded ourselves how blessed we are to have such a diverse and entertaining family.
