Here are a few more pictures of USN WWII Cruiser models. of particular interest is the one showing pre war identification markings on the turret tops. The stripes varied in number (1 or 2) and color, depending upon which cruiser division and scouting squadron was involved. The aircraft carried similar stripes on their fuselage. The after turret carried a colored disk to indicate which section of the squadron was embarked on that specific ship.
Another interesting picture is that of CL101 AMSTERDAM. Her camouflage pattern was entirely unique and not duplicated on any other ship of any type in the entire navy.
