Part of my preparing the Easter Egg Fleet for publication includes updating my biographical information. Doing this included an on-line search for “Aryeh Wetherhorn”. I was surprised to discover two references that I had never seen before. I had written articles for the Polish magazine “Okrety Wojenne” and one of them was used as a reference in a Croatian Language journal. I had also written about the Battle off Baltim between Israeli and Egyptian forces in 1967, after the six day war. The original site has disappeared. So I posted the content of that item in my blog this past November. What I did not know was that an Arabic language site had copied most of the data from my original post on their own site. As far as I know, it’s the only mention of this battle in Arabic. The Egyptians have never been in a hurry to publicize any of their defeats.
