The Rain and Wind Continue

We’ve had rain and high winds since Sunday. It’s wonderful for the country, but not so nice for some of us. We left the Scrabble club early last night in order to avoid bad driving conditions, It took us almost a half hour longer to go into Jerusalem. The trip home was not quite as bad. What little snow that actually fell in our area melted quickly, but there was black ice later, That made driving extremely hazardous. So we turned up the heat a bit, and settled down with books. Our TV wasn’t working because our remote died. Replacing the batteries didn’t help. We’ve had about half a dozen brief interruptions in the electricity. But on the whole, the electric company has been able to keep us warm. Yesterday most of the rain (and snow) was North of Jerusalem. Today it came to our area South of the capitol. In our morning prayers we praise the lord who makes the rain fall and the winds blow. The experience this week gives added meaning to that prayer.
