The Taylor Force Act is an American Law that withholds funding to the Palestinian Authority in an amount equal to what the PA spends rewarding terror. The money is simply placed in a frozen status for up to 2 years before it can be allocated to other use. The law is named for an American citizen who was killed by a Palestinian terrorist in Jaffa in 2026,
The annual budget, of the PA includes expected donations from various international donors because the Palestinians themselves cannot pay for everything they say they need. One of the categories in that budget is paying salaries to imprisoned terrorists, Another is paying support for the families of slain “martyrs”. Together these items amount to around $355 million. \
Depute the rather mild wording of the American law which merely holds back the funds until the US State Department can verify the PA is no longer paying out money for the 2 budget items mentioned above, it elicited a very strong response from the PA, PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas even called down a “May your house be destroyed” curse on the US President, But strong language doesn’t pay bills. So the pA has now decided to try another approach. They are not going to lie to the Americans like they did after the Oslo accords. This time they went to the UN Office for th Coordination of Humanitarian Aid. Together with that body they are appealing for donations of $350 Million to address certain humanitarian needs for the Palestinians.
Isn’t it amazing that the amount they need is almost the same as what the US is withholding?. Some sources have called this policy of funding terror a “Pay for Slay” program. That’s because the donor are being asked to de facto fund terrorist activities. The PA uses it’s own media, radio, TV, and printed, to promote more killing of people in Israel. Now they ask for international aid to do the same thing.
