My newest book covers many aspects of this subject: The Boats, The Crews, The War, and the actual activities of the 39 American PT boats that participated in this battle.
One of the major points focused on is the experiences of the actual crews. The book has many pictures of the crew members and their boats. It includes a lot of actual quotes from the people who participated.
They tell their own stories about their training and what happened in that battle.
